Still, I would like to find whatever cretons programmed the bot or bots and subject him to the jokes of Gary (a colleague in my part of industry) and offer to make Gary stop if the bot-programmer would stop. Trust me, it is a punishment worse than death.

Gary and his jokes are listed as "enhanced interrogation technique" by our DHS.

No! please don't delete them... I bought so many awesome flip flops, discount cigarettes and designer wallets since they've been posting here. What will I do without them?

Re: to all tmv forum members (please read)

It should be more of a message to the forum moderators and security to step things up.

Pretty obvious that they are bots.

Something should be in place that requires activation of the account, email verification, captcha codes, maybe even post verification. Make a thread and it has to be verified by a moderator.
Either that or the mods have to step up and get rid of the spam. There's been a large influx lately.

Thank you, Jens ! I usually login in the afternoon hours (U.S. EST or EDT, whichever applies), and delete ALL the spam as soon as I find it, and as soon as possible.... Doing my very best, but it just takes some time....

Patience everyone.... I'm "on top of it" DAILY !

On another note, Robert found a way to delete the spammers in the "Social Networking" portion of TMV World > >> the "Main Site" as it's often referred to. But it's much different in the Forum section.... Robert really did an AWESOME job in the aforementioned.... It was really getting out of hand, and I spent a lot of time getting rid of that nonsense !

D,

With all due respect, it's much more difficult than one may think..... (Please see my previous post).
Again, I DAILY remove the spam as soon as possible, and time permitting, I also login in during the late night hours as well.... AND, I'm sure that Bob (Videohere) is doing the same as well !

Re: to all tmv forum members (please read)

I think you are doing an incredible job. It seems that when some get through it is because so many where sent at the same time. :D
As soon as you find a way to stop it the spammers find a way to break through your defences. An ongoing battle.

You're thinking of Styx, like I was. However, they mispronounce it so that it fits the meter of the song. I spelled it phonetically, as close as I could to how I learned it was pronounced, traditionally.

But I am not an expert in japanese and could be wrong.

But I am pleased that you caught the reference I was making. Sometimes, I throw out a joke and no one gets it. Hurts my feelings  .... sniff, sniff....

Ha ha! I always make jokes like those and reference songs, games or movies... like the "chicken" thing going on with Marty McFly, or stuff like that, haha. I also have that kind of vocabulary humour, or puns [I think you call it in english] that most people find boring xD

Well, about the bots thing. I think like Jens. You do a very good job taking care of spam and such, in fact I have only encountered one post, once.. and I read a lot in this forum.

I hope the problem decreases or fully ceases -hehe- . Or if a system could be implemented to avoid bots by captchas or something like that maybe it would be less stressing for the admins erasing those "botty interventions".

I do that all the time, too. And I butcher lyrics to serve my own humorous purposes.

One that is repeatable:
"The Rooster" by Alice in Chains

"Ain't found a way to grill peas, yet.
I'll have another cigarette.
Seems every hat leaves me with no hair."

Stuff like that, and worse.

And yes, puns. I have made some really bad ones that will make you groan in pain.

As for the bots, sometimes, I reply just to amuse myself. The bots aren't paying attention. I am just talking into the wind. But as long as I am amused, I guess it's okay.
